Born and raised in Stuart, Va. Debbie cut her teeth in radio as a DJ for about 10 years, working for WHEO 1270 AM in Stuart,Va., WBRF 98.1 FM Galax, Va.WWWJ AM Galax, Va., WKTE AM 1090 in King ,NC.

In 1988 and 1989 Debbie was awarded the Gold and Silver Poet Awards in Washington,D.C., nominated for "2005 Country Gospel Music Guild Female Vocalist of the Year", awarded the Eastern Division "2007 Song Writer of the Year" for a re-release of "The Letter" which is still on the charts, nominated for Agape Fest "2008 Horizon Award" and "Songwriter of the Year" and awarded "2008 GMTC Female Soloist" in Cave City Kentucky.
